Star Overdrive

Star Overdrive is an action-adventure game, reminiscent of the warmly received OkunoKA in its portfolio.

Gameplay

In Star Overdrive we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP).

Hoverboard and open world exploration

The game provides us with an open world divided into various biomes, where we will find both wastelands and ruins, as well as other remnants of an ancient civilization.

We cover large distances, speeding on our hoverboard. It is a variation of a snowboard that doesn't move on wheels, but instead hovers above the ground. The protagonist can not only rush headlong, but also use elements of the environment as jumps, as well as perform daring stunts in the air (and merge them into spectacular combinations).

Fighting opponents

In many places, however, we must put our foot down on solid ground, and take up arms. In this role, the character uses a keytar, which is a hybrid of a guitar and a keyboard. It can be helpful in beating encountered opponents. On our path, we encounter both standard adversaries and powerful bosses, and during dynamic battles, we must demonstrate agility and reflexes.

Character development

As we progress, we develop the powers of our protagonist and unlock new skills. They can allow him to do things like influence gravity or release kinetic energy. Over time we can also improve the hoverboard, increasing its speed and maneuverability, as well as modify its appearance, adapting it to individual preferences.
