An action game with elements of a stealth game, in which we get to the headquarters of TransCorp, which was taken over by robots. In the course of the game we face these machines and solve environmental riddles - all this in order to maintain our position at all costs.
Budget Cuts is an action game with stealth elements. The game described herein was developed by Neat Corporation for platforms ing the virtual reality headsets.
In Budget Cuts players assume the role of a TransCorp office worker, whose future is rather questionable. Not only does the corporation regularly replace human workers with robots they manufacture that are much cheaper to maintain (as part of the budget cuts in the title), but also the people employed there often disappear without a word. After such fate meets one of the protagonist's co-workers, the protagonist receives a mysterious package. From now on, he must do everything in his power to maintain his position.
In Budget Cuts players observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP). As players move around TransCorp's headquarters (teleporting from place to place), they have to solve environmental puzzles (requiring, for example, finding an access card or reading notes left by the company's employees), as well as face the robots patrolling the area. One can by the machines or even attempt an open fight utilizing an extensive arsenal of office tools; one can use, among other thing, scissors or even knives as weapons.
Budget Cuts has features interesting and slightly cartoonish 3D visuals. In order to work, the game requires players to own both virtual reality goggles and dedicated motion controllers.
Contrary to what may be suggested by the age category awarded by PEGI, the creators of Budget Cuts themselves do not recommend their game to be played by the youngest among players.
