Looks like Sony finally got how annoying it was to connect your DualSense to anything other than PlayStation 5. I know it might sound a bit odd, but some of us actually use the PS5 controller on PC, it’s not that unusual. So after all these years (oh come on, 5 years is a long time), they’re rolling out an update with one of the most wanted features.

DualSense to multiple devices in late 2025 update

The DualSense controller, like pretty much any other, can connect to a bunch of different devices – from your PS5 to PC, mobile, and whatnot. But here’s the catch: every time you switch from one device to another, you have to go through the whole reconnecting process again. It’s not hard or anything, but it can definitely get annoying, especially if you switch back and forth a lot.

Thankfully, Sony just posted on their official PlayStation on X that they’re working on an update to fix this exact problem. The new update will let the DualSense stay connected to multiple devices at the same time, so you won’t have to keep pairing it every time you switch. They’re aiming to roll this out sometime in late 2025, which is still a bit away, but definitely something to look forward to.

Right now, Sony hasn’t shared many specifics. We don’t know how many devices you’ll be able to connect to at once. They said they’ll release more details on how it’ll all work closer to the launch.

Meanwhile, Sony has been busy on other fronts too – announcing a criticism for some of their game choices.

Even though it sounds like a small update, it’s actually a pretty practical one. It’s going to make life a lot easier for anyone who regularly bounces between gaming on their console, PC, or mobile without the struggle of constantly reconnecting their controller. Definitely a welcome change.

Been with gamepressure.4free.org since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or iring my collection of retro consoles.
